Patsy was born on March 18, 1938 in Hollister, Wisconsin to Russell Steven and Mae Mabel (Thayer) Allen. She graduated from New London High School in Wisconsin. Patsy worked in production of checks at ADP, Olathe, Kansas until retirement. On October 19, 1976, Patsy married Robert C. Miller in Illinois. They moved to Kansas City until 1981. The family then moved to Paola in 1986. Patsy raised eight wonderful children. Many people were surprised she had eight children because she was so beautiful and vibrant. Patsy worked hard at a variety of jobs. After a hard day’s work, she always did things to comfort and benefit her family, regardless of being tired. Patsy would cook, garden, sew and preserve food for her family and sometimes others. Her most treasured hobby was her flower gardens. She set a good example for her family by expressing love, respect and caring for each other. Patsy gained pleasure in welcoming new babies into her family. Family was very important to Patsy.

Patsy is preceded in death by her parents; husband Bob; son Tony Lee Young; daughter-in-law Cindy Young; brothers: Donald, James and Ralph Allen and brother-in-law Kirk Fletcher. She is survived by her children: Douglas Young, New London, Wisconsin, Penny M. Gallegos, Appleton, Wisconsin, Alan J.
